The PFPA-SA is a trusted verification body supporting professionals in project tender adjudication, product verification, and compliance with SANS 10400 Part T Building Code standards. We provide guidance on product selection, quality control, training, and costing to ensure informed decisions regarding passive fire protection.
Our mission is to assist the professional bodies and individuals with making informed decisions when it comes to passive fire protection (PFP) and to assist with the adjudication of accredited product and insulation companies that can provide a comprehensive service solution to PFP.
Affiliation Membership
Suppliers of passive fire protection products can apply for Affiliation Membership with PFPA-SA to list and verify products as compliant with SANS, EN, and BS standards. Gain access to our database, connect with industry professionals, and promote your products within a trusted network.
Professional Membership
This membership is ideal for professionals in various sectors, such as architectural firms, consultancy firms, local authorities, facility maintenance companies, building management, and many other fire safety and protection industries.
Contractor (Installer) Membership
Contractor (Installer) membership is for applicators or installers of passive fire protection products and systems. This membership is conditional on the contractor using PFPA-SA verified products, adhering to the association’s Quality Management System, and being subject to inspections.
Distributor & Manufacturer Membership
A Distributor Member specialises in reselling or distributing passive fire protection products, gaining access to PFPA-SA’s network for product promotion and industry collaboration. A Manufacturer Member produces passive fire protection products, with the benefit of verifying and listing their products in our database to ensure compliance with fire safety standards and gain industry recognition.
Individual Membership
This membership type is designed for individuals or technicians directly involved in installing passive fire protection products and systems. Competency must be renewed annually.
